Inter Milan had signalled their interest in entering the bidding for Tevez and the club’s technical director,
Marco Branca, travelled to England for talks with Manchester City on Thursday.
However, Joorabchian is talking to Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani, who is on holiday in Brazil, and is hoping to finalise a deal in the near future, with Tevez said to have made clear that he wants to join the Rossoneri.
“We’re here (in Rio) to finalise with Milan. We haven’t heard from Inter since August,” Joorabchian said.
The two clubs are yet to reach an agreement over the transfer, though, with the Serie A champions looking to secure a free loan with an option to buy while City are seeking a permanent deal worth around £30 million.
